Having studied at Chesterfield, in the late 70s/ early 80s I was quite familiar with their original incarnation. Needless to say their transformation onto cartoon pop characters came as a bit of a surprise. I did see them once in that 'trio' line-up and never did determine just what Joe Leeway actually did to contribute to the sound.
