I agree. ... I can't be doing with all that sexist ball bag metal cartoon paP, and it shocks me (a little bit) that Julian likes KiSS considering the attitude that whole genre of music had towards women.

I think it's the rock-as-cartoon humour thing, like with the Ramones.
I don't think Kiss are the greatest band ever, but they are a good laugh if you're in the mood for rawk. kind of thing.
Same with Van Halen?
I'm looking forward to listening to Julian's selection of tracks, turning it up LOUD and gurning a bit whilst quaffing ales.
