I disagree with Jim there - IDS has been leader for a couple of years now and should be at the stage where has listened and consulted people and had votes etc and now should be preparing to get elected - I think he is right to say sack me or get behind me - problem is he's so completely uninspirational and such a total dufus that although his party wants to win so big they find themselves unable to get behind such a joker
The traditional left of Labour (generally) kept their mouths shut in 1997 and ever since cause they know Blair gets them in power - it's amazing how blair is so in charge of his party in spite of the fact that so many of them hate him
