I remember one frosty evening....many years ago(Ninewells Hospital wasn't even built)...I was walking down Earn Crescent...and the full moon had cast it's light over the river Tay.......it was like looking at a shimmering wall of mercury....truly the "Silvery Tay" of McGonnagall's poem.
Whether the view was part of the reason for siting the hospital or not ,it can only have aided many a recovery .
