So it's approx 4 cm/year....which means that since the stones were erected approx 4000 years ago....the alignments should be out of sync by approx 160 metres...Logic dictates that if the same orbit is being kept it might only mean that the moon would look smaller in istead of out of alignment....but nobody has said this is the case.....if it is an ever increasing spiral....all the theories are blown out of the water.

Aside from that....as the lunar standstill is an approx 80 yearly event....when the stones were decided on....about two generations(given that 40 years was considered longevity...according to the scientists and archeos who tell us these things) would have been worm fodder before the correct positioning would have been plotted...and the moon's orbit would've shifted by another 2.5m(approx) again by the time the stones were up.....sorry still too many questions left unanswered...either by design or accident...you tell me!
