Re: Ye Lord and Lady of Yatesbury - in a field near yo

Well, I was building what I was claiming to be England's Largest Sculpture, so I had to check out the opposition. At one time the largest sculpture tag was being claimed by Arts Council England - Northwest, for B of the Bang by Thomas Heatherwick, which was formerly in Manchester. My piece was about seven hundred yards long and is now unfinished. I've tracked down Goldsworthy bent leaves stuff, in galleries, and checked that out - that similar, in a way. I've handmade hay, for goats, and mown wheat on a garden scale. I've worked on about twenty hay harvests, on farms, which is, if you think about it, only a process of rearranging grass. There's no question of doing it stealthily - like 'oops, that field was mown and bagged and nobody saw it happening'.
