Hmm, that doesn't happen that often, does it? Even on sunny days it is possible to focus the light, especially if you use something like a matt black card to 'steal' some of the light on one side. This may be a bit of a cheap and cheerful church hall/village fete solution but it DOES work and means nothing has to touch the stones.
