Firstly - here's an image of an accepted rectangular henge - http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/post/429 - have a look at the category it's been listed in !

Thom mentions a stone triangle - I think in Brittany. Rivington Pike has posted an image of a stone with an isoceles triangle carved into it. It looks a bit shaky - it looks very shaky - but it just may be of the right historical period. There are three stone circles disposed locally in an isoceles triangle formation somewhere - I've mislaid their whereabouts unfortunately.

John Michel, and many others, describe 'sacred geometry' - possibly a better term might be 'superstitious geometry'.
