Ordered 8 cd's from hmv and My Fair Lady (!) on Dvd for less than 50 quid (including packaging - can't be bad. Mind you only cos it was in a sale)
So far have listened to :
Herbie Hancock - Future Shock
Future Sound Of London - ISDN. They seem to get overlooked in the electronica world, but were quite the thing 10 years ago.
Spiritualised - Ladies and Gentleman... A classic. Finally got it on cd.
Kate Bush - The Dreaming. Not bad at all
Iggy and Stooges - Raw Power. yeah, not bad either
Still to listen to Captain Beefheart's Mirror man sessions, Herbie's Headhunters, Talking Heads something about buildings and food
I am now onto my 70's and before shelf and have dipped into Miles Davis' Panthalassa remixes. Class.
Pink Floyd - A cd full of secrets. A few gems there that aren't available elsewhere
I worked out the other day that if I don't buy anymore music, it would take the best part of a year to hear all my music the rate I listen to it. And it is only going to get worse. oh well
