Well that's good news. I remember reading about him getting shot during the course of a drug deal that went wrong a couple of years ago and thinking "poor sod" - how the (once)mighty have fallen.

I agree about the Liars' last two records - I was fortunate enough to catch them live just before the second one came out, and in terms of audience reaction it was one of the most polarising gigs I've ever seen. My friends and I loved it, but I heard all sorts of derogatory comments like "pretentious art-wank" from people who'd obviously come expecting to hear stuff more along the lines of their first album.
