Aye, that's true enough. We could also purchase and restore an existing circle of course - that would lend a degree of legitimacy and 'continuity' to the project.

Before being thrown out of the Winterbourne Bassett circle a few years back, by the then owner, I offered to buy the place from him; he wasn't too pleased with the proposal and headed off to get his shotgun :-) Still, The Winterbourne Bassett circle would be a nice place to call our own - five minutes' walk to the White Horse pub and only twenty minutes' walk into Avebury...

On second thoughts, I can hear the screams of not-in-our-back-yard. M'be there's somewhere in Ireland where we could establish our Church of Latter-day Megalithic Maniacs :-)
