Damned Damned Damned is essential if you like raw, vibrant, smack-in-yer-face rock'n'roll.

Music For Pleasure has its moments - You Know and Idiot Box for starters - but the dull production is a big fat musical leech that sucks the life out of the performances.

The Black Album - continues in the direction that MGE went in, taking them bit further from their punk roots with added mellow moments. If you like MGE then you will probably like that.

Strawberries takes the Black Album direction further - with an added lightness of touch and colour. Call it the Pink Album if you will.

I bailed out when the Captain left, but the last two albums with him back aboard are both well worth hearing. Not a great leap forward or anything, just continuing the MGE / Black Album thing to a large extent but I'm not complaining. I'd recommend both if you like MGE.
