Agreed -- that is a very overrated album. Second rate Curtis Mayfield.

There are a couple Eno produced that were nice for their time ("Fire" and "Achtung") but I can't imagine digging any of them out and listening to them these days.

Yeah, Grateful Dead here, too. Their whole image thing; the tee shirts, those stuning posters - all of that effemera... I really wanted to love 'em. But the music's just... well, a bunch of poo.

Well, anything with a headful can be interesting. I mean, you struggle with Radiohead? Try those Oxford boys whilst psychedelically informed!

I heard 'Karma Police' in a pub yesterday, Truly asinine lyrics, and every horrible musical 'aren't we deep' cliche you could imagine. That gave me THE FEAR. I wasn't on drugs.

There are a few Marvin albums like that. Lets Get It On and Trouble Man in particular. Lots of filler. Here, My Dear is gem of a record by comparison. Loads of fantastic songs if not many hit singles (one?). Ironic that it was a total flop. I guess the idea of Mr Loverman being a romantic failure didn't sit well with the Motown machine.

No. They're not even worth mentioning.
