I know what ya mean, KC- though "Mary Poppins' is probably one of the most benign examples of what you're talking about... (a film where Nannies can fly, laughing creates antigravity, you can jump into chalk drawings, etc. surely deserves a little leeway if it plays loose with a few facts....?). It's a charming, sweet film.

Listen, we've all seen movies that we've loved that stretch the facts- as most films about the American West have- I don't begrudge this kind of thing provided the film isn't trying to claim historical accuracy.

Criticizing Disney for creating happy endings is sort of like criticizing beavers for building dams... it's what they do, it's built into their DNA.
