Spacemen 3 - Forged Prescriptions Is it worth the entrance fee ??? Funny enough i was bemoaning it's appearance in my post on this thread...only just replaced (well end of last year) my cassette copy of Perfect Prescription with a CD copy, and now there's another version. Mind you, they did the same with Playing with Fire a few years back...ole' Sonic, he sure knows how to wring a buck from the peeps.

Dave Grohl is gonna be drumming on a forthcoming KJ album. Bit of a drum tart really innee? Just as well he's good.

I work with someone who's a mate of the CRR, & relates to me many amusing Danny Wylie stories. Apparently, he's old enough that Billy Sloan's praise went to his heed. That would make him around 55 in my estimation. (For non-Daily Record readers, Billy Sloan is the Richard Littlejohn of Scottish rock journalism. I'd bet hard cash his Desert Island Disc is Mary's Prayer) Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a relaxed attitude towards age in rock (viz: Bruce Gilbert of Wire - same age as my mum, so what?), but Danny Wylie (by the sounds of it) = Smashy. They're not really a floater for me, but I heard bits of the new stuff, & it's not half bad at all.

Re: Requiem. Back in my hairier days, me and my chums used to enjoy dancing to this by repeatedly climbing on a chair and then jumping to the floor on every fourth bar (on each crashing drumbeat, in other words). Thus inventing Goth Step Aerobics (slow. languid, plenty of time for cider & fag) AND looking like twats in the process. Happy days. I think.

Blimey... "forthcoming Killing Joke album". When did time start going backwards? I'm scared.

Not a lady, but have jessie-ish tendencies & would suggest the proud flute & the codpiece-&-tights combo. Perhaps also the trout farming.

I have not posted on this thread in a long while mainly because I have listened to The Dead almost exclusively since July. And i do not not see my fixation with them going away anytime soon. But here goes. Porno for Pyros – Good Gods Urge One of my top 5 all time favorite albums. Not sure why I dragged it out I am glad I did. Grateful dead – Dicks Picks 13, 14,15,16 17,18,27 There is nothing like a Grateful dead Show. Grateful Dead - View from the Vault IV Soundtrack. More Dead. Scott Huckabay –temple of Dendara This guy is absolutely amazing live. Acoustic guitar for Mother Earth. This CD is good but it is a bit new agey. Grayfolded – The ultimate DARK STAR experience. Tangerine Dream- Poland Good stuff from TD. This gets plenty of spins when I am working the computer lab. Jerry Garcia and Howard Wales – Hooter roll Instrumental album that is soaked in 70’s vibe from the tunes to the album cover.

I used to have a 'mug' but it got broken. Love this album as well. Even the Steve Vai bits.

It's pretty good over all. Could have been trimmed to a single disc maybe (some of the demos aren't exactly essential). And it doesn't flow the way the original album does. Oh, and the last previously unreleased track on the second disc reminds me of Brain Donor.
