Well, if you can get past the whirling vortices of energy, and the special Healing Seat, the strange story of one sarsen’s journey from West Kennet to Bosham here may be of interest.

That looks every bit an Avenue stone doesn't it...and a female one to boot! From the Sanctuary end possibly?

I don't go with this whole male/female thing, as far as my memory recalls there's only one pair that could be said to live up to the title in the WKA, and none elsewhere in the Avebury complex that are convincing.

I didn't say it was part of a pair Geoff just that it looked like what many class as a representative of the female form. But, there are two pairs in the WKA and lots of other 'female' types around the complex. Whether they are paired or not is another thing because many are missing.

I know Roy, just this whole Male/Female thing does my nut in, there's more chance of it being coincidence than intended, wouldn't you agree. ?
I don't believe any of the "great" antiquarians mentioned it, and surely they wouldn't have missed something so obvious.
