Hmm, all i seem to have heard is the bad stuff: album after after album of dull, chugging barroom rock. And the Dead weren't much better than the Doors (oh, give me the Seeds anyday :-)

Only kidding folks. The Doors weren't *that* bad. But the Grateful Dead? A schmaltzy two guitar 12 bar boogie band with a psychedelic past? America's Status Quo my friends.

With the admitted exception of the Live album (and even that wasn't too bad in places) I don't see how the 13ths can be beaten.

(Although Silver Apples run them a close second)
