The two pictures that you've linked to, showing the process of the shadows near to noon, are very uncertain. The sun's position changes throughout the year and this will vary the shadow produced tremendously. I know absolutely nothing about this type of monument other than a knowledgeable guess as to how the capstone was placed. (In the same way as a bottom through in a N Pennine wall). If the archaeologists class them as tombs, on very little evidence, and you are suggesting that they are symbolic experiments in time and space then you will need to have your facts very well rehearsed and refined before you present them to anybody. Remember the three stages: ignored, ridiculed, accepted. You're just beginning stage 1 ...
