There are many other possible and more common stages e.g. 1) Accepted ,
simply because it is seen to to work .
1)Ignored , because it has nothing to offer .
1)Ridiculed because it is ridiculous .
and various combinations of the above .
It's a convenient smokescreen for proponents of dubious ideas to hide behind "look what they said about ....(insert revolutionary ) " as if they might be in the same class or " there is more to heaven and earth ...etc " .



...and not forgetting the ever-popular:
1) Ridiculed as being the result of an over-active imagination
(by those who are envious because they have too little)

...but, I suppose it at least gives them a focus to vent their frustrations ;)
