Any significance in the number? Please don't answer.

The project is just the sort of thing to attract Arts funding, especially if you submit an impenetrable "explanation" which is obligatory in these matters - except that they'll run it past their friends at the heritage desk who'll tell them it would confuse the archaeological record!

At which point you say, "Yes, confusing the archaeological record is my artistic purpose" and then let them fight it out.
