The Beatles - Help! The Beatles - Rubber Soul David Bowie - Diamond Dogs Focus - Hamburger Concerto Camel - Moon Madness Vangelis - Mask The Move - Shazam! and some eponymous debut albums: Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin (find Robert Plant's vocals a bit annoying at times on this one, but bits of 'Dazed and Confused' have the intensity of Ash Ra Tempel on their own eponymous debut. Must dig that one out soon) Hawkwind - Hawkwind Queen - Queen Suicide - Suicide

Klaus Schulze - Cyborg In particular the bonus track But Beautiful - 50 minutes of fabness. Hadn't really got in about this before, and I'm really enjoying it. Fabric - A Sort of Radiance Synth magic. Lovley stuff, a tonic for the earholes. Helios - Caesura Like the Cocteaus joined up with Sigur Ros. Very pretty. Lunar Dunes - Galaxsea Only had a couple of listens, but absolutely love this - I reckon it is the finest of the three Dunes-related releases that I know, by some margin. I particularly love the Gong-ness of it. Mahavishnu Orchestra - Inner Mounting Flame Mad and wonderful. Caravan - Waterloo Lily Rediscovered this this week. Hadn't really got on with it when I got it on CD last year, despite having had it on vinyl in the past. Marvellous. Jon Hassell - Dream Theory in Malaya Been wanting this for ages and finally got a copy. Stunning recording from that period when everything Eno touched was utterly magic. Hassell's trumpet on this is absolutely sublime. Skull Defekts - Peer Amid Rock! Still loving this to bits. Vision Thing - North M3 from these parts releases top melodic album of wonderful tunage. Imaginary Softwoods - S/T Synth packed gem. Daphne Oram - Oramics Amazing early "synth" recordings from radiophonic workshop type woman. Gnod/ A Middle Sex - Split Wonderful.

Blonde On Blonde – Bob Dylan Not a major Dylan fan by any means, but you can’t go wrong with this, can you. Sometimes I Wish We Were An Eagle – Bill Callahan I seem to recall feeling slightly disappointed with this – the second release under the Smog guys own name - at the time of its release, but going back to it a couple of years later it sounds so much better. New one on the way, too. Koyo – Junkboy Enjoyed going back to this 2010 release from Brighton based act. There’s still a Brian Wilson influence at times, but there’s a bit of Bryter Layter there, too. Where Did The Night Fall – Unkle Probably didn’t give this enough listens when I first got this, but going back to it now there’s a lot to admire. Several great tracks in fact. Interstellar Overdrive – V/A Uncut cd from 2008 with Black Mountain, Caribou, Wooden Shjips, etc. Also some Blurt, Circle and singles by Loop Guru, Primal Scream and T.Rex, etc.

Hail \m/ Felix da Housecat - Son of Analogue Dave Brubeck Quartet - Time Out. Larvley! Doves - Kingdom of Rust. Elbow - Build a Rocket Boys Arcon 2 - Arcon 2 .Dark n moody drum and bass from times past Salt Tank - Wavebreaks. Not listened to in ages. Top stuff! Hyperborea - Ten Years Under the Earth. Melange of Irish folk and electronica in an Afro-Celts stylee. Black Tempest - Proxima. Tangerine Dream - Zeit. Machine Head - The Blackening. Metal! DragonForce - Ultrabeatdown. Also metal. But much faster! Gene Loves Jezebel - Discover ("What you get is what you seeee Shuh SHUH! Dee sire Yuuuh!" hee hee) Penetration - Moving Targets. Julian Cope - The Jehovahcoat Demos. Julian Cope - 20 Mothers Julian Cope - World Shut Your Mouth. Greg(O)rian - The Dormancy of our Omnicient Masters. Heavy! Wikan - Illegal Grave EP. Free download from ToneStone. Wasn't what I was expecting at all and, to be honest, it took a while for it to grow on me. But repeated listens reveal a top sense of atmos and detail. I like it a lot! I hope TS doesn't mind this, but I was reminded by some of it of the very early Sisters of Mercy 12"'s (Circa Reptile House and Alice). The sparseness and percussion kind of evoked those early Sisters releases. ps Love the name and the Black Triangle logo too! Kosheen - Resist Loop Guru - Duniya Hawkwind - Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do Have a nice week Music Munchers x
