Orange Blossom: 'Everything Must Change' We danced to this on New Years Eve. Awesome Brazilian Girls: All three albums T.REX: 'Electric Warrior' (special edition with outtakes and rough mixes) Kinobe: 'Choose Your Own Adventure' Bits of David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Bonobo, Foo Fighters, Portishead, Dub Colossus, Goldfrapp and even some rather tasty Julian Cope! Cinema: 'Avatar' (in 3D) miss it at your peril. Just watched 'The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou' about a driven but essentially vain old chap who likes to ensure his exploits are recorded no matter how stage managed and corny they often appear. (Hmmm... Familiar?). Brilliant script, direction, acting and cinematography. If anyone doesn't like that movie - then I can only conclude it's because they're crap. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbPUiaRnQkU

I'm afraid there hasn't been a Wes Anderson film that I haven't thought was tedious in the extreme. Though it is true that none are as awful as those other phoney Art House efforts Sideways or The Savages. Making films that are so slow they wade in cinematic molases doesn't make you Eric Rohmer or Tarkovsky. The Coen's do bugger all for me most of the time either so I must be really crap! Now, Paul Thomas Anderson - that's what I think of as a decent film maker. Punch Drunk Love being a perfect example of cinematic understatement that isn't just a "cool" mannerism. Perhaps I am in a minority but when it comes to Owen Wilson and Bill Murray give me "What About Bob?" or "Zoolander" any day of the week.

You don't like Wes Anderson or The Coen Brothers? Blimey, Ian. Your taste in movies is even worse than your taste in music! ; ) EDIT: Have you seen their latest A Serious Man? A truly fabulous movie.

Kid, I salute ya!! I love that bit in TLA when they're running onto that island whilst that funky-ish Mark Mothersbaugh number plays. And beautifully shot throughout.

I just can't stop clicking that link, just to see the preview again and again. Wychbury Man even has a Team Zissou tee shirt. I might ask to borrow it for our next gig, as a private joke between me and myself.
