What even luckier than Adam Clayton and John Densmore? Actually you're right.

Jopy Division really were tremendous and they evolved into New order arghhhh, i wonder what Ian Curtis would have thought of New order and their cliquey, matey, professional Manc demeanour ( well Hooky and Barney anyway).

I like to imagine Curtis dumping the band after Closer and working with people like Hal Wilner and Vangelis in Blade Runner mode. He would have made something like 'Tilt' a decade earlier than Walker managed it.

Somehow i couldn't picture him raving in The Hacienda with 'Ooky" and Barney or swanning over to Ibiza and telling us how many pills he's popped and how "mad for it" he was like the afforementioned aeging hedonists.

Maybe he would have headed up to Edinburgh with Mark E Smith and avoided all the Madchester thing.

I wonder what Jim Morrison would have ended up becoming if he hadn't "popped his clogs".

Still mean a lot to me. They both deserve better than some of the bollocks written here.
