It's tricky when one of yer musical inspirations loses the plot...As any Bowie fan knows only too well.
But attitude is important, and at least JC is still prolfically pushing the envelope, and on several fronts, as a musician, historian and commentator on the state of things generally.
I certainly wouldn't select any Brain Donor music if I was trying to get a friend into JC, but I'm glad he has this facet to his artistic personality...and yes, some of it is CAK.
But better than Tin Machine for Chrissake!!!!

When I first listened to the cd I wondered what all the fuss was about as the first track was quite good. It kinda reminded me of LAMF (which I still think is awesome, but I may be alone on that one).
Anyway, at first I didn't think it ws too bad, but despite being a long time defender of all things Cope, I have to admit that after Track 1 it was all downhill. For me tha album is trying to be too much something else - but I don't know what that is.
It is surprisingly bland and predictable and at times, downright annoying, but with JC at the helm, you never know whether that is the intention.

I must admit I didn't get on too well with either Orgasm or Cain'd, so I'm a bit reluctant to splash out again.
