I'm really disappointed with all this Sigue Sigue Sputnik baiting. They were the saviours of eighties rock, fergawdsake. Their hairstyles were inspirational. Their politics spoke for a whole generation. They had endless inventiveness and were artistically way ahead of the pack. Tony James even got to fuck Janet Street-Porter. Oh, and Martin Degville was an adonis.
(Now you KNOW I'm taking the piss with that last sentence, don't you?)

I've got two of their albums which still get an outing from time to time and thoroughly enjoy them. SSS toured with greenhaus late last year (whose Unmistakable Sounds Of Sloth albums is really excellent!!!)
Not at all a let down to me, more a reminder of a very speedy period of my life

Hey, the Neptunes' productions for Britneh are pretty damn ace! Pity about the songs & all their "You're the man & I'm a doormat" lyrics. Why can't she be more "piss off, you jerk"?
