For 2003 = Mars Volta

Deloused was much hyped last year and frankly, as I have said before, it was at least 20 mins too long and nothing as radical as the reviews stated.

I can't possibly hath children! I am a homo.

It not even moral grounds that I hate Britney, although it bothers me that she sold her sexuality at a young age and had a tit job to boot. (Ugh!)

I just find today's cheap-jack bubblegum-synth-disco shite annoying, especially for the singing. Maybe it's just having to put up with the hit-radio that all the idiots at work would play. (Those stations would play the most annoying songs six times in one work shift. Imagine having to put up with "Oops I Did It Again" 6 fucking times even if you LIKE the song and see what I mean!)

I didn't see 'em when they played Rochester NY, but I heard they were extremely long and boring!

I have to concur. Mars Volta sounds cool at first, but I find they quickly become boring.

Haven't read through this entire thread, has anyone mentioned Urge Overkill yet? Their 'Saturation' album campaign was a blatant attempt at brand recognition that fell flat on its' face. I thought it was Eddie Money when I first heard it!

"Santa Suzanna" sounded cool at first until it sounded more like a piss-take of 70's hard-rock than a tribute. I remember getting their first album back in the eighties and it was bad noise-rock -- like they were trying to be the darlings of Forced Exposure or something. (I wasn't fooled!)
