33 years on, mega goosies from Led Zep II just now whilst cooking the dinner...what a great album...even listened to Moby Dick all the way through.....(crucial stirring phase - couldn't skip the track !)

'You' by Gong. Played my vinyl copy (29 years old and still going strong!) t'other week and it simply blew me away. There is no greater crescendo on record than 'A Sprinkling Of Clouds' - the bit where Moerlin does that drum roll and Hillage's guitar comes in is absolutely orgasmic. But the whole album just sears.
Why don't you try...indeed.

At the risk of being super cliche boy here I have to say the moments when Bonhams drums first kick in on Stairway to Heaven and then Pagey's guitar solo.

The bit about 12 seconds into Loose on The Stooges Funhouse LP... " Ah' Lookout" then the Bass and cymbals come in, then he shouts' 'HUH' or something, and the drums let rip. Mmmmm, every time.
