I just didnt know what you'd call raw. Its a very broad description.
Talking of goosebumps - it has to be Peggy Sue. Or his version of 'I fought the law'.
I love Brown Eyed Handsome Man. Thats my fave Buddy Holly song.

i stick by my 'raw' tag for some of his stuff. I think the suit & glasses make some folk think that buddy was a bit pat boone, so i like to stick up for his punk rock credentials.
i retract my offer of a fight though.

I'm a six inch high Pixie.
However, i can revert to my full size (5'4") should the need arise.

I've no idea what I actually meant by 'raw' but it felt good as I thought it, so must be right. As it comes, unprocessed etc. etc. I was just trying to find a description of the stuff I've been listening to lately.
Oh, and I do like Buddy. Is he raw? (Please no tasteless jokes here) Some stuff definitely is.

Talking of New Order, the synth on Your Silent Face gets the arm hairs sticking up.
Also thought of Blue Rats by the Coil alter-ego Black Light District: "Scritch... Scratch..."
Someone mentioned Gong earlier. The bit where Daevid Allen floats off, singing "Hare, Hare, Hare..." at the end of Other Side of the Sky.

mind you i get goosies from some terrible old rave music 'cos of the E effect - don't others here get that?
put on some dance music used listened to whilst on E and it seems to restimulate the energy/tingly vibe from then and this is definitely an E thing.
It also works on dance music that is just similar too
Tis wierd as fuck, was pissed and really tired a long while ago walking along, someone was playing some dance music really loud in their car, i stuck my head in their window asked them to turn it up even louder which they helpfully did, made some other useless pissed remarks but stood up full of E energy and bounded off along the street -surely this isn't just me?
