This inclusion of uncertainty is what makes it science rather than faith. Predictions are always hedged with 'best guess' and other qualifiers of likelihood.
The thing is, when the overwhelming consensus of those who - unlike you and I - have real knowledge and expertise in the field says with all caution that there is a greater than 90% chance that we run the risk of catastrophic climate change if we continue on our present course, what would you have us do?
Would you get on a plane with your entire family if a bunch of engineers surveyed it and said it had a 90% chance of crashing?
