The main difference is that if left to nature these things would return to their original form ... dogs back to wolves etc. GM foods are modified in a totally different way to sheep. As Merrick points out, attaining goals by selective breeding is very different to genetic modification in one generation.

Also:

That really does read as if your diet consists of mainly dogs, horses and crops :-)
