Fascism?

I had a run-in recently with people who displayed more than an essence of fascistic brutality and monocular hatred. The extreme political polarising, the braying, spittling, Nationalist ire, the NewSpeak, and the constant exhortations of (their own) moral/physical/intellectual prowess, threats of violence, etc, etc. Of course, being Americans, it was all in the name of freedom, and not to appreciate their brand of Right-ness was to hamper progress and freedom, the very notion of free speech was countered with open insults, threats of violence and braying nonsense.

I agree with whoever it was here said that fascism is the greatest ally to big business. In America, to be American is to extoll capitalism, to be a 'liberal' is to be anything 'other' within the whole spectrum. For the fascist, there is only black or white. Or blue and red. If you're not blue, you're a red under the bed. And we all know how evil the Reds are. Go Bush, endless war promised for all.

This type of polarising is a complete lie. The very easiest way to control people is to run a two-party political system. People rebel against a one party system, that's fascism ;-) So there HAS to be a 'common' enemy, to keep everyone voting. Of course, 'democrats' are only part of the ruse, and New Labour is of course New Danger. It's a foregone conclusion that we are heading for complete control by corporatism. Anything outside of this will be manouvering to keep those who believe in 'freedom' from causing too much uproar. The 'rational' and 'civilised' will realise that it's all for the world's 'own good'. Haven't we heard that before?

From Mussolini:

"Fascism, the more it considers and observes the future and the development of humanity quite apart from political considerations of the moment, believes neither in the possibility nor the utility of perpetual peace. It thus repudiates the doctrine of Pacifism -- ...War alone brings up to its highest tension all human energy and puts the stamp of nobility upon the peoples who have courage to meet it. ..."

"Objectivism" is the new word. Such clarity, the foregone conclusion of global capitalism gaining ground among the US intellectuals in a biblical adherence to Rand et al. And we are all asked to argue this from an 'objective' point of view, that is, support America in her fight for hers and our freedoms.

Of course 'objectivism' is unhampered by foreign policy, it can write it's own rules. It is, after all 'objective'.

America has hoisted up her skirts and shown her gunbelt and wallet, are you with her or against her?

(clue: it's a 'yes' or 'no' answer)

(further clue: if you say, 'er..hold on??' you're probably an unwashed hippie, Saddam-lover)

(last clue: if you say 'no', you are the living breathing scum of the earth and deserve to rot in Guatemano bay with all your 'relatives')
