That's not what I meant. I meant when something that I think is unjust that the government is responsible for that I have to address, or to prove that I'm not some kind of serf, or some typical dullard with a superfluous office job or something.

I agree that like Thoreau said, the best way to live is away from government. Many of my fellow Pagans now have been saying they no longer read the news or participate in debates.

However, I am also an artist, see, and the thing on fascism that was on the Portland site you posted mentioned intellectuals and artists were victims of fascism. If I'm gonna express myself, I'm gonna fight for my right to do so.
