Re: Highlight of 2010

I guess my highlight of the year was visiting (albeit briefly) the Bluestonehenge site by the River Avon, in the company of a friend who worked on the dig in August 2009.
During my stay in Wilts, he also took me for walks in the Stonehenge landscape.. from W.Amesbury, over Normanton Down to Stonehenge, and later we explored the King Barrows area.
Another day we found a possible henge site near a large mound in Fargo Plantation, before my first ever walk of the whole length of the Cursus.
Poignantly, he died in August, so they are very cherished memories.

I also had the opportunity to visit the Bow Henge site in Devon, and am hoping to re-visit that one in the Spring.
A friend who lives near Kestor had me to stay twice, and we walked to Scorhill circle for Autumn Equinox susnset, and in Spring went to Meacombe Cist.
One surprise came after dawn at Stonehenge Summer Solstice when almost bumping into Neil Oliver, and getting him to pose for a photo... then his assistant took one of the two of us!

(Not as many sites as I usually pack in, but quite interesting ones!)
