Re: Penance paid?
Nov 05, 2003, 09:44
I guess the question is, do I expect the BBC to do my job for me, and what is my main concern? Is it that the lack of public recognition of the site that is allowing it to be put under so much threat? or is that I need to tell everyone about this threat straight off?

I know that less than .01% of the population have an awareness of thornborough, and therefore our strategy has been broken down into small bitesize chunks.

1. Raise awareness - let everyone know how good these things are.

2. Follow up with information about the threat.

I call this strategy "awe and shock" - allowing people to dream about what could have been, before hitting with what is going to be.

As far as I am concerned, last nights TV programme delivered objective one 100%. I have a number of my own leaflets that do not mention the threat either - wasted opportunity or part of a strategy?
