right, if it's a 'scientifically' measurable objective thing, like the type of rock or the height of a stone. But if it's a subjective thing like how airy a place feels (or whatever, I don't know) then you can't say there's a right and wrong, can you? It's all relativism man.

I wasn't talking about acceptance! That can be both a virtue and a failure depending on many things.

I don't want to barge into someone else's argument, but I can't help it. This whole thing about sciencey-type-reductionism vs phenomenological-type-experience shouldn't need to cause any friction. As long as the Science-dogma-preachers are prepared to admit that the current model is just that, a model, and the crystal-sucking-weave-your-own-yoghurt brigade are ready to admit that personal experiences are just that, personal. if Q:What is dowsing?, A:It's magnetic, then Q: what is magnetism?, A: something you can blame phenomena on. Pthrrrrrrrrp!

I quite agree. I have being talking about the atmosphere of a place all along vs the power given out by a stone rather than a space/place where that stone happens to be. People who babble on about stones giving off energy (man) are describing a (to them) quantifiable thing, not 'WOW! What a cool bit of rock!'

Its all in the perception. Hoorah for that! Haldane would be proud.

Does anyone moderate the forums or is it open house on abuse?

. . . was made Honorary Fellow of my sister's uni., the day she graduated. What a treat for me that was! He's a brilliant speaker, and it was splendid listening to him talk about his photographic career. One hell of a photographer. Love, treaclechops xx
