The automaker said free trade was important for the future. "With around 85 percent of our UK vehicle production exported to European markets, continued free and frictionless trade between the UK and Europe will be vital for future success," said Toyota Europe President and CEO Johan van Zyl in Wednesday's statement. I spoke to someone who is employed by Honda a couple of weeks back - he said it was quite possible Honda would relocate to Europe as a large percentage of their cars are for the American market which they export under the current EU trade deal. Plus most of the parts come from various EU countries. Ah well! I'm past getting agitated about it all. We've always got Dyson - word has it he's building his electric car in Wiltshire. Lets hope he doesn't relocate his factory to the far east as he did with his vacuum cleaner.

I would imagine the same thing applies to Honda and Toyota as applies to Nissan, the headline doesn't inspire confidence does it https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/7000-nissan-workers-could-lose-14349940

This was a good one... Utter drivel. Stop printing such rubbish cron. And stop using Nissan as political football. I know someone very very high up in Nissan who states it's the most economical and efficient plant in Europe. There is no way on earth they would close or move it. Hurry up and get on with brexit rather than trying to find reasons not to. It's the best thing that can happen to Britain, and the worst for the rest of Europe who we are constantly bailing out. Fact is we have put 10 times more in than what we get out. Why we even joined in the first place is beyond me!

Check out UK Column news. They love talking brexit! Whatever happens I don’t think it’s gonna be a change for the better for the majority, but didn’t we kinda know that when we voted? Brexit and Trump are both great distractions.
