So Britain is going to pay £35bn for the chance to become an isolated little backwater, obedient to Brussels but with no say in Brussels. Well done Brexiteers, traitors couldn’t have done as much damage or reduced the UK so low.
Nose. Cut. Spite. Face.

And one seriously disillusioned person said it would come to this because he believes all he reads in the rags if it suits him.

As somebody else said after one of your previous dramatic exits (eight now is it?):

"It is possible to just say nothing rather than make such a big deal of leaving (yet again) and blaming others for doing so?"

"Can I just remind the snow flakes in the Leave camp that MPs voted 309 to 305 in favour of Dominic Grieve’s amendment to the EU Withdrawal Bill. That’s pretty much a 52% / 48% split. I believe you call that a “significant majority“.

Today:
1. growth forecast down says IMF
2. Barnier says no bespoke agreement, especially for the City and the best UK can have (on May's red lines) is a free trade arrangement like South Korea.
3. and transition period must be far less than demanded.
4. Minister admits Britain "now in slow lane" but EU effectively bluffing.
5. but "next year we have the "fillip of the Royal Wedding"
6. and although the poor have suffered most for 6 years, "we have a relentless focus on helping people"

Happy Xmas Brexit voters, you screwed up a whole country with just your pencils.

I'm hardly what you'd call young and I never had a blue passport, it means nothing to me. God do they really think this is actually important and is going to sway anyone's mind, compared to all the mess? Do they think the british public is that stupid?

ooh and by the way there's a royal wedding next year, isn't that super.

Last night my OH was lamenting about all the great aeroplane-building british companies of yore and how they don't exist now. "We don't make anything any more." Ah but we will have a blue passport. Bloody great.

(also, I felt there was something uncomfortable about his denigration of 'pink passports' (they're actually burgundy) - kind of sexist or making them sound effeminate or something. a bit odd)

Of course they do! Why else do it (at a cost of £500)? They're playing to the core, like Trump is. Make Britain great again innit.

Do you find the news almost unreadable these days?
