I love* how governments decry the cost of renewable energy and insist that we can't afford to subsidise it, while simultaneously offering massive tax breaks and other forms of "corporate welfare" to the fossil fuel industry.

Seriously?

Renewable energy is a costly wet-dream in its current form, and nothing else. Shale gas has the potential to provide decades of clean, cheap and abundant energy for the UK, unlike, erm, well – fucking windmills!!

People hate shale gas as it makes renewables look like the sham it has been proven to be.

It’s about time folks started thinking about what’s good for a country that’s on its knees, and start to look at ways of improving things, quite frankly!

Yes. Seriously.

I completely disagree with what you say. Unfortunately I don't have time right now to discuss it in depth (vast amounts of work to get through). But I felt compelled to register my disagreement and hopefully will return to this when I have time to expand on it.
