Well, it’s all a matter of personal taste isn’t it, and we could argue the toss on whether it’s actually ‘good’ art or ‘bad’ art until the cows come home. For what it’s worth my own take is that if you’re working with nature you should (if anything) be highlighting, maybe enhancing, its beauty/uniqueness (and we see that again and again in many of the photos posted here).

Coating a rock or a root with gold leaf doesn’t do it for me I’m afraid.
