Some bright spark put this up on that internet. Brilliant! I only saw them live twice, and they were as good as they said.

Grasscut - Everyone Was A Bird

Y'know, I've tried, tried, tried to dig these cats, but they just don't do it for me. On paper they sound like they should be my dream ticket music wise, but that factor 'X' just seems to be missing for me.

Similar vibe and territory to Grasscut are The Books whom I much prefer. The album 'Lost and Safe' is an unsung classic IMO.

I love reading your weekly selections, we share quite similar tastes musically, and generally you mentioned sometihng that tweaks that 'haven't heard that in a while, must dig it out' nerve. Nice one ! (This week it was AMT, David Sylvian and Japan by the way :)

There's a bit of a radio show about it here...

good to know that the lets all talk loudly at the back crowd have moved on, a couple of years ago I practically gave up on seeing some bands because I was getting so wound up by the lack of interest by the crowd on who was on stage as they shouted to each other and waved phones in each others faces. Ha I'm turning into a grumpy old man, young whippersnappers should watch the band, not each other, back in the day blah blah blah....

might try for a day ticket to see Fovea Hex
