I've never liked pigeon holes...if I liked something I bought it, so in my boxes very weird/eclectic stuff, like, say, Gaby Pahinui and his Hawaiian Band or Terry Riley's Persian Surgery Dervishes would be sitting alongside Herb Alpert or Nilsson's The Point. I'm still like that now. Jazz and classical are at a premium in my collection, but its not dislike that's stopping me rectifying that now, it's lack of funds. I'd l o v e, say, a lot of 'trane, Brubeck, Mingus or more stuff conducted by the likes of Boult and Barbirolli, or Chopin played by Lipati, or a nice Ogden boxed set. One day...
