Every iTunes user is supposed to get a free download of the new U2 album.
Well, I haven't. I am the little boy that Santa Claus forgot.
How am I going to get by without it?

A colleague of mine is a non-itunes user and U2 fan, so I downloaded it and burnt a copy for him, giving it a cursory listen...its terribly bland.

You should feel blessed, like a surviving uninjured from a massive bombing campaign. I suppose I'm an iTunes user, but couldn't tell you the last time I used it. The only song of theirs I hear with any regularity is "Where the Streets Have No Name", since they use it as the warmup song during a lot of hockey games. I'll admit, it is a great song, but most of their other stuff is crap.

Why does anyone care...... they give away their album for free... if you don't want it then don't listen to it..... don't really see why this is such a contentious issue....
