The bass line of Julian Cope's version of "i have always been here before" is pretty killer and worth mentioning. It absolutely makes the song.

Also shouts for Queen's "Staying Power" and Rush's "The Enemy Within". Both from unloved (from some) albums in their respective catalogues, but both, IMO, with fab basslines.

There are just too many that I love, so I will just go with "Grip" by The Stranglers Burnell - That's how you play a bass. (Not how I play one though).
