I have been listening to Saw Delight for the first time recently and quite like it. Other albums towards the second half of their 70's output that i rate and i think are under rated are Flow Motion and Landed.

801 - Live

The Associates - Sulk. Found it quite a heavy listen this time around. Dark stuff

Akron/Family - Meek Warrior

Cosmic Jokers - s/t

Animal Collective - Sung Tongs. Definitely growing on me

Apse - Spirit. Lovely Moody eerie post rock kinda vibe

Date Palms @ Miss Peapods about October 11'

Then there was stuff beginning with P like:

Pink Floyd - Piper & Dark Side

Peaking Lights - 936

Pink Fairies - Never Never Land

Primal Scream - Exterminator

Psychedelic Furs - s/t & Talk Talk Talk. Criminally underrated band me thinks.

Their early gigs (often with Wasted Youth in tow) were really great. Ahead of their time if you had never heard White Light White Heat. Ahead of their time anyway in terms of what came later with JAMC and MBV. The first album lacked some of that intensity but like Simple Minds they were really good until America had its way with them. TTT is on the edge. Good album though.

Agreed with all that, although I don't think I ever saw them live. I think 1st album was pretty intense though!

It sounds great now. At the time I was a bit underwhelmed by the first album as the audio-visual assault in somewhere like the Moonlight Club was just amazing. If ever there was a band that should have started with a raw live album or ep it was them I think.

Do you know I think I might have seen them actually. It wasn't them that supported the Talking Heads at the Hammersmith Palais when I saw 'em was it? *going slowly senile*
