Can't imagine why I missed the 78 shows as the Only Ones opened for them and they were probably my favourite band in the spring of 78. Was probably a classic case of thinking "next tour" and saving the money for something else. Or else I made an all too rare concession to the "pressure" of A Level mocks. Re-takes ahoy.

School of Seven Bells - Disconnect From Desire. Like these a lot, although I gather they are now down a duo, which is a shame cos they're gonna miss those wispy and ethereal harmonies from the 2 sisters.

I was a bit gutted about that tbh, but I've heard a track off the new one and it was sounding really good.

Newie just out isn't it? Read a couple of reviews and they've been pretty positive, but those twin sister harmonies were a big selling point to me (as well as fuelling some pretty lurid brain-images I shamefully admit!). Shall wait n see I spose.

I've heard the new one and was pretty disappointed to be honest. I certainly won't be buying it, but if you do I hope it's your bag.

Keep hearing phrases like 'breakthrough' album which could = poo. I shall hang fire til the cheap sniff pays off I think.

None of his books are currently in print, amazingly! He had nothing to sell at the gig I went to in Shrewsbury a few months ago.
