Leveson again soaked up alot of listening time but these got a play or part play
Bang Bang - Brothers Of The Head
My favourite record at the moment. Once you get past Damned Damned Damned and The Clash there are very few first wave English Punk albums as good as this. Proving that sometimes a pastiche can supercede the real thing, this could be Clive Langer's best record. Libertines et al are not in the same universe of swaggering grooviness.
UK Subs - Another Kind of Blues
Bowie - Music Hall Memories
Bowie - Sunday Concert June 1971
Dana Gillespie - Weren't Born a Man
Deep Purple - Made In Japan
Eno - Ambient 4
Marillion - Manchester 12 Dec 2011 (download)
Simple Minds - Radio Sessions 1979 - 1982
Nina Simone - Broadway - Ballads - Blues (as heard in "Rev")
Iggy - Raw Power (Bowie Mix, prefer swamp to distortion)
The Astronettes - s/t (tacky but entertaining surf album not the Ava Cherry band)
and the new Black Tempest magnum (no other word) opus continues to accompany me on public transport at all times.
