Been listening to an old compilaton tape entitled (and then suddenly) Loaded which came out in 93 i think. Some great tracks on it by the likes of Sugar, The Auteurs, Frank & Walters, Morrissey, Jesus Jones and Therapy? ?

Aereogramme 'Sleep & Release'
Man 'At The Star Club 1998'
Kenny Wheeler Quartet 'Double, Double You'
Urs Leimgruber 'Lugano'
Gruff Rhys 'Hotel Shampoo'
Fleetwood Mac 'Penguin'
Cabaret Voltaire 'The Voice Of America'
Marshall Tucker Band 'A New Life'
David Bowie 'Hunky Dory'
Brahms 1, Beethoven 3, Strauss 'Der Rosenkavalier' Suite, Ravel 'La Valse' (all Pittsburgh SO/William Steinberg - part of an excellent 20CD retrospective of an underrated conductor. Many of his interpretations - on cheap MFP LPs - were my first introduction to the works in question as a kid. They sound great on these remastered CDs.)

Fela Kuti - Opposite People/Sorrow Tears and Blood (continuing my journey with Fela..amazing)
Borrowed Time - Arcane Metal Arts (some of the best new nwobhm-inspired heavy metal I've heard...and not just because they're friends of mine. Seriously, youtube the songs 'Burning Mistress' and 'Sailor on the Seas of Fate,' metalheads.)
Quicksand Dream - Aelin - Story of Destiny (more excellent, somewhat modern, old-school mythical heavy metal...recommended)
Os Mutantes - s/t (finally picked this up...I'm really surprised by how 'out there' this stuff is for its time. will require more listens)

Also picked up:
Funkadelic - s/t
Parliament - Clones of Dr. Funkenstein
Beastie Boys - Check Your Head (didn't grab me on first listen apart from a few songs)
Sly and the Family Stone - Fresh

Also watching Curb Your Enthusiasm season 7

I've been listening to Neil's heavy concept album. Worth a listen once if only for his cover of Pink Floyd's "The Gnome".

Hawkwind - Warriors on the edge of time and Space Ritual.

Throwing Muses - Some live bootleg or other. Just Kristin. No Tanya. It's OK, but it suffers from the lack of vocal harmonies.

Gillian Welch - Soul Journey. A couple of fantastic tracks on this album, and a couple that get skipped.

Moon Duo - Mazes
Caravan - A Hunting We Shall Go
White Hills - H-p1
Bong - Gilgamesh Lives

Ashtray Navigations - Electronically Rechanneled Band & Street Choir

Two great albums from Apollolaan. Hakobume is a wonderful blurred ambient wash. The Ashtray Navigations album is a glorious scrreeee!

Tashi Lhunpo Monks - Dawn Till Dusk
Saw this lot by accident at the Barbican on Friday. Made my day! I got a beautiful pair of prayer cymbals.

Klaus Schulze - Timewind
I've been studying this in detail as I'm planning a cover version of Bayreuth Return ;-)

Sun Dial - Other Way Out
Thanks to whoever recommended this. Splendid slice of unsung psychedelia.

Hawkwind - Parallel Universe
Penguin Cafe Orchestra - A History
2 great retrospective collections. Love them both.

Master Musicians of Bukkake - Totem 3
Wonderful psychedelic weirdness. This has been getting a lot of listens.

Nick Lowe - labour of Lust
Paul McCartney - II
Billy Cobham - Crosswinds
