I had to read it aloud three times before it sort of sounded... well, vaguely amusing. Which is a lot better than the level of amusement a half hour twiddly diddly guitar solo followed by "Waaaaa-aaaaay - Oh!!! Waaaaaaaaaaaaay-Ooooh" for another twenty minutes, provided.

Followed by denial of said 'shag'.

Shame. I like Queen and never saw 'em. Or shagged 'em for that matter.

My grandmother bought me a copy of Wilder because she thought the flowers on the album sleeve were a safe bet in contrast to the other rubbish on display. It's quite funny coz when I bought Fried a few years later,I had no record player'so went straight round hers to copy it onto audio cassette, she asked me to to turn it off and leave 3/4,s way through reynard.I imediately new then that it was a cool album. It's now 30 or so years gone by and He's still got my vote!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was a latecomer to the Julian party. I got a job as asst mgr of a record store in Oct '92. I was 22. the mgr was 32, and an old punk fan. Jehovahkil had been released and he added it to the instore playlist. I loved it from the moment I heard Soul Desert...by the end where Julian is screaming, I was hooked. I played that tape over and over at the store. I also mixed it up and played Tom Waits Bone Machine....that combo scared the shit out of some mommies, and rid the store of uncool mallrats...I went on to Autogeddon, bought Peggy Used (played Safesurfer non-stop) and 20 Mothers....I didn't really get into the back catalog until the very late 90's. Julian is my daily vitamin..I need a lil' every day just like I need air.
