The one I don't like much is Growing Up In Public. It's pretty rubbish IMO.

Indeed. I think "Rock'n'Roll Heart" and "Mistrial" are pretty abysmal too. The fact that the best track on the former is an instrumental ("The Chooser and the Chosen One") co-written with his saxophone player says something about the rest of the LP.

"Rock and Roll Heart", ha ha I actually wanna hear that one. It must be so bad it's hilarious, or most likely it probably is dull and cliche-ridden I imagine...

I thought it was pretty great when I last heard it. I think it's also around under a different name. Can't remember which one I have but I think I found it dead cheap.

Trying to remember if the l'Edad D'oro dvd from '84 was Quine. Is that too late? Forgeting exactly when his tenure was.

I just wanted to point out that the Island Years 2cd is a compilation of those 3 lps plus bonus tracks and I think a lengthy booklet.

Paris 1919 is a great lp, especially in its remaster of a couple of years back. So is Sabotage and Even Cowgirls Get The Blues the ROIR live set. & so are the late 70s live sets that have appeared on Dime.

Recorded 1983 apparently. I had it in my head it was later than that.

Certainly seems to be different covers...

I've got this one. Never seen the other... http://www.mtv.com/shared/media/images/amg_covers/200/drc500/c521/c52126t2m67.jpg

Who's the better German electronic group, Cluster or Kraftwerk?

One has an intensely loyal but small following of "art heads", the other changed the face of popular music for everybody.

Cale is great, but Lou is an icon.

(I rate Nico higher than Cale too!)

I listen to a lot more Cale nowdays but Transformer and Berlin were right there in my youth.

Am I the only one who thinks Berlin's pretty good?
