Hello, Maria. Nice to meet you. An unusual opening gambit, but not unwelcome. I would answer:

'I Want You' by Elvis Costello. Tis raw and vicious and masochistic and still gets me every time. Possibly due to it coming out around the time of my first serious schoolboy love obsession, that ended badly.

Also 'You Keep Me Hanging On.' Supremes version, Tim Buckley version... hell, even (especially) Kim Wilde's version, for the reasons listed above. Well, you can't always choose the soundtrack when your heart's breaking.

'For You' and 'Mary Queen of Arkansas' from the first Springsteen album.

'Nine While Nine,' Sisters of Mercy.

Yep, still soundtracking that first adolescent crush. I'll get over it one day... maybe...
